Workshops

Metasploit for Pentesters (Georgia Weidman)

Cost: Free

The class will begin with the basics of using the Metasploit Framework. We will continue on following the penetration test methodology to use Metasploit to exploit vulnerable systems in a lab. This class is suitable for those with no background in Metasploit or penetration testing as well as penetration testers who want to add the Metasploit Framework to their arsenal.

Student Requirements: In order to follow along in the lab students will need a computer with specs capable of running virtual machines. The virtual machines and installers of software to run them will be provided in class.

Bio: Georgia is a penetration tester and independent security researcher. She is currently working as a security consultant at Neohapsis Inc. Georgia holds a M.S. in Secure Software and Information Security, a CISSP, and Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) certification. She got her start in security as a team captain in the Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition, and she now serves as an attacker in the Mid-Atlantic region. Since making her speaking debut at Shmoocon, she has spoken at conferences such as Hacker Halted, Security Zone, and Bsides. Georgia also     runs GRM n00bs (http://www.grmn00bs.com), a website dedicated to videos, tutorials, and podcasts for information security beginners.
